The Summer of Service empowers and inspires people to volunteer in their local communities. Through volunteerism, civic engagement, and service, individuals and communities can address critical needs and create the future they imagine.
MEET ME AT THE PARK
Earth Month encourages individuals to discover nature, ignite a passion for the environment, and develop lifelong conservation values. Meet Me at the Park engages the public in selecting and celebrating projects to revitalize and restore parks in our communities, connecting kids to nature and inspiring them to live healthier lives.
In support of National Bullying Prevention Month, Walt Disney Television partners with nonprofit organizations to create a bullying prevention campaign called Choose Kindness. This campaign encourages youth and adults around the country to help put an end to bullying by choosing kindness.
FOSTER CARE AWARENESS
FosterMore is a public education campaign that centers on a public service announcement (PSA) that airs during May — National Foster Care Month. The objective of the PSA is to raise awareness and bring a more positive tone to the dialogue around adoption, children and youth in foster care, and non-traditional families.
SHARE THE JOY
During the holidays, Walt Disney Television spreads joy with those who need it most. Share the Joy supports Feeding America’s efforts to expand access to fresh produce and nutritious foods, connects with children and families in need through donations to Toys for Tots, and brightens the lives of children impacted by foster care with One Simple Wish.
